Spend the morning in Matlock, a handsome Peak District town with riverside walks, beautiful parks, and quaint shops. Stroll Hall Leys Park with its gardens and duck pond, or call at Peak Rail station to glimpse heritage trains. There’s time for coffee and cake before we follow the Derwent to our next stop. In the afternoon, we reach Matlock Bath, the “seaside without the sea,” with arcades and a riverside promenade. Enjoy fish & chips, ride the cable car to the Heights of Abraham, or dip into quirky museums before rejoining the coach for a relaxed journey home.
