We’ll be travelling by Executive Coach provided by Ausden Clark Group. The pickup route has been designed to be as direct as possible so is to minimise the amount of time spent picking up and get you en-route as quickly as possible.

 FAQs

Are we able to eat and drink on the coach?

Yes absolutely, but please use rubbish bags provided and alcohol is strictly not allowed to be consumed on board the coach.

Do children require a car seat?

By law, children do not need to be in a car seat. Most coaches only have lap belts and therefore a car seat would not be able to be fitted. Children of all ages must have an allocated seat, but they can sit on your lap at the parent’s discretion.

What happens if I am late?

You must be at your pickup point at least 5 minutes before the pickup time as to not disrupt the day’s itinerary and delay other passengers. Due to the nature of coach travel, we will be unable to wait for any passengers who are not at the pickup on time. This also stands for the leave time from our destination, anyone who is not onboard before the agreed departure time will miss the coach departure.

Will there be a toilet on the coach?

Yes, however, they are designed for light use and it is advised to only use it if absolutely necessary since moving about on the coach while in motion is strongly discouraged since it can be dangerous.

Will there be a comfort stop en route?

Where the journey is in excess of 3 hours, we endeavour to include sufficient comfort stops. However, we aim to get to the destination as directly and quickly as possible to in order to give you the maximum amount of time there, so for journeys shorter than 3 hours we won’t unless absolutely necessary.

Will there be storage for wheelchairs, pushchairs, motorised scooters and such?

Yes, there will be sufficient space for mobility items, if you have any exceptional storage requirements we ask that you get in touch to discuss these prior to the day – 0116 4030 100.

How old do I have to be to travel?

Anybody under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a travelling adult.

Do I need travel insurance?

Many tour operators require you to take out travel insurance as a condition of booking with them. While it is not compulsory with us, we do advise that you take out a policy of insurance in order to cover you and your party against the cost of cancellation by you, the cost of assistance (including repatriation) in the event of accident or illness, loss of baggage and money, and other expenses.

Is there a limit on how much luggage I can take?

Generally, you are limited to one medium sized suitcase per person with a maximum weight of 18kg (40lbs). A small holdall can also be taken inside the coach. However, please do get in touch if you have any queries or special requirements.

What if one of my group cancels and leaves someone in a twin/double room on their own?

The remaining passenger will have sole occupancy of the twin/double room, or we will move them to a single room if available. The hotel may request a supplement for this, however, we will negotiate the best terms possible with the hotel in such an event.

What if I have a special requirement?

If you require a bedroom on the ground floor or a special diet, you must notify us in advance so that the hotel can be made aware to ensure that the requirements can be accommodated since we cannot guarantee this for all circumstances. When booking online, you must add these requirements to your booking when prompted.

Can we choose our seats?

While we cannot guarantee a particular seat due to the availability of coaches and passenger numbers. Requests are welcome and we will endeavour to reserve them for you, for example, ‘seats near the front’. However, it does work on a first-come-first-serve basis.
