Cambridge is a treasure trove of historical locations, quaint streets and beautiful buildings, made famous over the centuries.
Cambridge has one of the most impressive collections of museums in the country. The University of Cambridge can take you on a historical journey via its eight museums – from the sciences to archaeology, zoology to polar exploration, there is so much to see – you won’t be left twiddling your thumbs!
Cambridge truly is a green city – its natural fen landscape flows right into the centre along the River Cam. You can picnic under the trees along The Backs, and while away the hours in the beautifully kept college grounds and Fellows’ gardens._
With such an incredible history of excellence, Cambridge has the distinct honour of being able to boast a frankly greedy 120 Nobel Prize winners from its former students. Alumni include the likes of Sir Isaac Newton, Sir Francis Bacon, Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking, to name but a few!
